Myles Burnsed serves as Vice President of Development at Reactivate. In his role, Myles leads project development efforts, drawing on more than fifteen years of experience in renewable energy development, strategy, and business operations.
Prior to joining Reactivate, Myles served as Vice President of Strategic Developments in the Distributed Generation Division at EDF Renewables where he was a Company Officer. At EDF, he led the development of over 1 GW of renewable energy projects including some of the division’s largest and most profitable projects. Myles has played an important role in the development of solar nationally and originated and developed some of the first front-of-the-meter (FTM) projects in the Midwest, Southeast, and Southwest including the largest DG project contracted to date. He also has substantial experience in developing and implementing Inflation Reduction Act strategies including safe harboring for Energy Communities, optimizing investment tax credit (ITC) stacks, and negotiating one of the first ITC Direct Pay Develop-Build-Sell (DBS) contracts in the U.S.
Previously, Myles served as Director of Business Development at ECS Energy, where he was responsible for market expansion, customer segmentation, and project finance strategy. He also severed Vice President of Operations at HelioSage Energy where he played a key role in the development of major projects in NJ, MA, VT, MD, and CT. Myles began his career as a Consultant Engineer at FM, a global provider of commercial and industrial property insurance.
Myles holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia where he was elected a member of Tau Beta Pi and an MBA from Darden Graduate School of Business where he was awarded Faculty Award for Academic Excellence. He is based in Charlottesville, VA.
